WHO IS WUFFES
All animal lovers will want to work for Wuffes - an eCommerce brand focusing on the wellness of our furry, four-legged dog friends! It all started with the classic case of not finding the right quality products for their pets, so founders Sam & Josh set out to create a brand that not only will benefit their dogs but all of the owners out there struggling with the same issue of finding only the best products for their dogs.
WHAT YOU’RE GETTING YOURSELF INTO
When working with Wuffes, you’ll get the freedom of flexibility of working remotely and collaborating with an international team. Coming in as the 20th team member, you’ll work closely with the design, development, and growth team to create and optimize the website and campaigns to make them even better - whether that’s introducing new elements, or taking out redundant ones, your role will be vital to increasing the functionality and improving the conversion rate of the funnel. This is a fully remote contractor position with some overlap with the PST time zone.

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Auditing and identifying the low-hanging fruits of the performance of the website.
- Researching and formulating strategies for conversion rate optimization.
- Conducting A/B tests and minimum viable tests to improve conversion rate & help bring down the cost per acquisition.
- Tracking data using Google Analytics and providing interpretations & suggestions for improving performance.
- Brainstorming and hypothesizing with the growth team.
- Continuously learning about the latest updates, trends & best practices for CRO.
THE PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION
- You have several years of experience working with CRO for an eCommerce brand or agency.
- You are an expert with Google Analytics.
- You are familiar with A/B testing tools.
- You have case studies of your previous CRO experience.
- (Ideally) You have an understanding of PPC and how it works & contributes to conversion.
- Have the drive to learn all the time.
- You are detail-oriented & love analyzing and tracking data.
- You can both work independently and in a team environment.
- You are a self-starter and able to motivate yourself without others’ guidance.

About the Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join an early stage yet established ecommerce brand with incredible success in a highly impactful and business critical role. We are seeking to hire an experienced and agile Sr Director of Growth with a primary background in performance marketing. In this newly created role you will further evolve the marketing strategy for Wuffes.com, and oversee and execute initiatives that contribute to the company's hyper-growth goals, including inbound demand generation, product marketing, customer acquisition funnels, marketing operations, content, PR, and branding.
This role requires a strategic communicator to execute on our marketing and growth strategies through brand storytelling, helping create content for social platforms, and designing and running campaigns for traffic growth. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience within a B2C ecommerce business with a primary focus on performance marketing, supporting corporate brand and marketing strategies, with hands-on experience managing marketing campaigns, content strategies, community engagement, analyzing metrics, and optimizing the acquisition funnel to position the business as a brand leader in a competitive space.
This role requires someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and digging into the tactical components with the knowledge, leadership and network to build a lean and effective team from the ground up. You’ll work closely with our co-Founders and the leadership team in this highly visible role that touches every cornerstone of the business, allowing you to showcase your intelligence, collaboration and data savvy growth marketing genius.

Key Objectives:
- Establish and evolve the full funnel marketing strategy, automated systems, budget, and team.
- Consistently drive new customer acquisition, retention and conversions each month.
- Grow awareness of the Wuffes brand in the relevant markets and position as the leading supplement brand.
- Leverage engagement within social platforms in creative ways to drive sales.
- Help launch new product lines and brands through new product launches and promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Align closely with product and CRO teams to understand our market position and product led growth strategy.
- Focus primarily on performance driven campaigns within paid social, paid search and native advertising, with an emphasis on ROI and channel diversification.
- Drive best-in-class product marketing including product launch management, white papers, presentations, and other customer-facing materials to build awareness, and drive growth.
- Define the marketing strategy needed to grow the customer community and increase engagement including social media, online marketplace, and email marketing.
- Build, motivate, and develop the marketing team; create and implement a long-term plan for marketing team structure and growth. Leverage existing networks to continue to build a world-class performance-focused team.
- Lead annual and quarterly planning for marketing, keeping track of budget, and reporting on marketing initiatives’ performance, with a focus on ROI & revenue growth.
- Exercise a data-centric approach to gather acquisition insights and use data to improve future marketing campaigns and results. Establish a clear framework for evaluation.
- Help evolve our corporate narrative in a way that raises awareness for Wuffes by illustrating our brand identity, market positioning, and product differentiation to a range of verticals and stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with the latest advances in the industry and competition, and identify new opportunities for lead generation within our targeted customer base.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a marketing role, with 5+ years of experience building and managing a growth-focused marketing team.
- Demonstrated experience building effective funnels within a quickly growing e-commerce company with direct impact on growth of customer base.
- Must be a paid media guru with hands on and data-driven results through strategic campaigns within various platforms including FB, IG, TikTok, Snap Chat, Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.
- Analytical and campaign performance measurement expertise to drive investment decisions and present with clarity to multiple stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of marketing business operations and how to leverage a highly engaged social platform.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment within a role that is new and will dynamically evolve.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in data, media, marketing, advertising, communications, business or another relevant program highly preferred.
- A growth mindset, never satisfied with the status quo, and able to stay several steps ahead of the strategic plan.
- A passion for dogs and pet products is a plus!
