Glucosamine (1250mg) – Naturally produced by the body to maintain healthy cartilage & joints, Glucosamine supplements help build lost cartilage and reduce inflammation. It’s particularly important for pups with degenerative conditions like osteoarthritis that lead to decreased natural production of Glucosamine. And there’s more. It also helps maintain healthy synovial fluid, key to improving mobility and reducing pain.

MSM (400mg) – Commonly found in lots of fresh food like meat, veg, and dairy, MSM helps improve blood flow to the painful areas. It also helps reduce pain and inflammation.

Dogs 65 lbs – 1 chew per day
Dogs 100-120 lbs – 1 ½ chews per day

Most pets will display similar symptoms when they are experiencing pain and discomfort related to joint disease. Here is a helpful list of things to look for if you’re unsure if your pet is experiencing joint pain.

1. Has your pet been less excited to greet you?
2. Does your pet have difficulty getting in and out of the car, climbing the stairs or jumping into bed?
3. Has your pet started to exhibit changes in posture? This might include:
   1. hunched or arched back
   2. shifting weight in an unusual manner when sitting or lying down
   3. difficulty finding a comfortable position to lie down
   4. dropped head
4. Is your pet showing signs of restricted movement? This might include:
   1. limping
   2. favoring a side to walk on
   3. difficulty rising from a lying position
   4. reluctance to walk or step forward

Our chews are suitable for animals over 12 weeks old, however, the large breed chew is too concentrated for dogs under 65 lbs. Please give your developing large breed puppy our Regular Hip & Joint Chews and follow the dosage instructions by weight.

We recommend refrigerating after opening for extra freshness. Though it’s perfectly safe to store them in a cool, dry place, the Omega 3’s derived from Wild Alaskan Salmon oil are prone to degradation when exposed to air and heat for 2-3 weeks. This means the smell might become slightly less attractive for both yourself and your pup, and we wouldn’t want that would we?

If your chews are left out of the fridge, you might notice a slightly less-than-attractive smell. Not to worry, they’re still perfectly safe to consume. The Omega 3’s derived from Wild Alaskan Salmon oil are prone to degradation when left out of the fridge for 2-3 weeks. This can lead to an unpleasant smell, but won’t impact the quality.
